Suspensions

The Full Merchant Center Suspension Recovery Guide

A structured guide to understanding a suspension, checking a store and feed, making evidence-based corrections, and requesting review.

Recovery work should begin with the exact issue and the actual store, not a promise that a particular change or appeal will restore an account. Google alone decides Merchant Center eligibility and review outcomes.

1. Understand the notice

Record the issue wording, status, date, affected products or destinations, and any next-step instructions. Google distinguishes account-level issues from product issues; read how account-level issues work and check the current issue documentation.

2. Check the public store and business details

Walk through the homepage, contact information, product pages, policies, cart, and checkout as a shopper. Verify the business identity and customer terms. Use the website requirements checklist and the guide to business information.

3. Check the offer and product data

Compare real product details, variants, identifiers, price, availability, shipping, and return information between the site and the submitted source. Review GTIN, MPN, and brand guidance and the official product data specification.

4. Make accurate corrections and verify them

Change the underlying source, publish the updates, and check that the live site and feed now agree. For policy details, read the misrepresentation guide and refund and shipping policy guide. These links explain issues to inspect; they are not a guarantee that every item applies to your store.

5. Request review through the available path

When corrections are live, follow the review or appeal option shown in Merchant Center. State what changed and where, using only verifiable facts. Read how to appeal. If the request is rejected, use this reassessment guide before deciding what to do next.

Official policy, practice, and recommendations

Google’s policies and support pages linked throughout this guide are the authoritative source for its requirements and process. Evidence logs, second-person checks, and issue maps are practical industry workflows, not Google rules. GMCRestore’s review assesses public website patterns and information you share; it does not access your account or submit appeals on your behalf unless a separate scope explicitly says so.
